I'm all about being sporadic. I might have three rowdy boys under four, but that doesn't mean I should surrender getting in the car and GOING- sometimes there's nothing more than a great escape.
Escapes have changed, however. Before kids, we'd venture somewhere chill- a place where we'd spend the day in bed, ordering room service and drinking ourselves silly.

Dec. 2: Holiday Cheer's Festival
On Saturday, Dec. 2, from 2 to 9 p.m., toast to the holiday season with the Holiday Cheer's Festival, taking place at Chandler's Rawhide Western Town. Spend the day getting a head start on Christmas shopping thanks to a lineup of artisan vendors, indulge in good eats via the food trucks and food vendors and sip on plenty of festive drinks, like holiday cocktails, hot mulled wines, hot butter rum, holiday grog, Christmas wines, beers and spirits, just to name a few. There will even be a gourmet hot chocolate bar!

Nov. 10: Fifth Annual Canines & Cocktails
On Friday, Nov. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the AZ Heritage Center in Tempe, Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary hosts its Fifth Annual Canines & Cocktails reception. The event features heavy appetizers and two drink tickets per person, and it benefits Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion, rescuing, adopting, educating and well-being of senior animals and providing public education to their value.
