Thanks to the Arizona Humane Society’s New Hope Program, Coraline is receiving the lifesaving care she needs after being found as a stray with a broken leg. The 10-month-old pup was transferred to the organization from another shelter and is now looking for a loving Foster Hero home while she continues her healing journey.
The adorable American Pit Bull Terrier mix will need a foster for about a month that is able to bring her into AHS for weekly bandage changes and check-ups. She will also need lots of crate rest to allow her leg to heal properly.
When it is time to go outside Coraline can be carried out or walked on a very short leash to ensure she doesn’t move her leg too much. It would also be great for her to have lots of enrichment in her crate while resting – all of which AHS’ Foster Team can help give tips with!
Fostering is a lifesaving way to help the Arizona Humane Society make more space for additional sick, injured and abused pets in need of help. At no cost to those who foster, this is a wonderful way to help animals in need without permanently adding to your family.
