Hope on of 30 Pets Rescued from White Mountain Floods

Aptly named Hope and 28 other cats and dogs in need of help were transferred to the Arizona Humane Society earlier this week after the organization’s Emergency Response Team deployed to assist the Humane Society of the White Mountains. Following last weekend’s devastating floods up North, all employees and pets were thankfully safe however they were in need of clearing the shelter to make much-needed repairs.

Hope is a gorgeous six-year-old German Shepherd who is hoping her lifesaving trip down to the Valley will result in finally finding a forever home. She is hoping for a calm place that allows her to learn the ropes and understands she is in a new environment, which may take a bit of time for her to settle into.

Hope is a true embodiment of not just the lives AHS saves but how animal rescues working together can ensure more pets are given a second chance at a great life. Extremely sweet, inquisitive and loving, it is her hope that she will be spending her days relaxing with her forever family soon.

From Friday, November 6, through Sunday, November 8, the Arizona Humane Society will offer 50% off adoption fees for ALL adoptable pets. This special will help create critical shelter capacity while giving hundreds of animals already waiting for homes a second chance. Pets transferred to AHS from up North will be marked with a special “White Mountain Flood Rescue” logo on their photos at azhumane.org/adopt.
