Valley Youth Theatre to Host Shrek Themed Fundraiser: Soirėe In the Swamp

The stage is set for Valley Youth Theatre’s annual fundraising event, VYTal Affair on Saturday, August 19th beginning at 5:30pm at Herberger Theater Center. The 2017 gala, Soirée in the Swap is themed after Valley Youth Theatre’s current production of SHREK THE MUSICAL. The fantasy filled evening will feature cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, silent and live auctions, and “Shrek-takular” musical performances by stars of Valley Youth Theatre.

AZFoothills.com's Nonprofit of the Year: PANDA

In the spring, AZFoothills.com kicked off its first-annual Nonprofit of the Year competition in which more than 300 Valley organizations vied for the winning title and a sponsorship package from Arizona Foothills Magazine. After weeks of voting, PANDA, which was founded in Phoenix in the 80’s, came out on top. Here, get to know the noble nonprofit that has a mission of improving treatments and aiding in the discovery of cures for devastating childhood diseases.

AZ Giving: Little Pink Houses of Hope

The nonprofit organization Little Pink Houses of Hope provides vacation retreats for breast cancer patients and their families. Families from across the United States and Canada bond and connect with other families during the week long retreat. The retreats are located across the United States and in the Virgin Islands. This year for the first time a retreat will be held in Scottsdale beginning on Saturday, May 13.
