Foster Hero Needed for Betty & Her Baker\

Betty and her Baker’s Dozen came to the Arizona Humane Society in late July after she was found by a Good Samaritan as a sick stray and very pregnant. Dehydrated and in need of help for herself and her future pups, the pregnant mama had nowhere else to turn.

The three-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier was taken into the shelter’s Mutternity Suites, a quiet, medically supervised area for pregnant and nursing dogs, where she has been undergoing care for tummy issues. After a few days of care, Betty gave birth to THIRTEEN puppies and now the whole family is hoping for a quiet, loving Foster Hero home for a couple months as they grow big and strong.

Being an AHS Foster Hero is a lifesaving venture with cases that fit every family and lifestyle. By bringing in a foster pet(s), you allow AHS to continue caring for even more of our community’s sick, injured and abused pets by opening up much-needed kennel space.
