Piper Charitable Trust theater at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West for a presentation, conversation with the author, and book signing for her new book, The Forgotten Botanist: Sara Plummer Lemmon’s Life of Science and Art, the biography of Sara Plummer Lemmon for whom Mount Lemmon is named.
8th Annual Southwest Maker Fest Returns to Downtown Mesa
After taking a hiatus in 2021, the eighth annual Southwest Maker Fest (SWMF) will bring a variety of exhibitors to downtown Mesa on February 19! The FREE festival engages visitors in exploring art, science and technology, sustainability, and fun hands-on learning, from Lego creations to casting fossils to 3D printing, from 10am to 4pm, on Macdonald Street just north of Main Street in downtown Mesa.
New Exhibition at i.d.e.a. Museum, Mesa Highlights the Power of Architecture
Starting Friday, January 21, 2022, the i.d.e.a. Museum in Mesa will present the new exhibition, Imagine, Design, Build! Featuring 40 artworks by 15 artists from four states and six countries, the exhibition will include a variety of paintings, sculpture, fiber works, digital videos, LED lighting, and digital photography.
Artlink’s Art Detour Returns for its 34th Year
Artlink has announced that Art Detour will return as a month-long celebration of the Arizona arts and culture community in March. The event will run from March 1 to 31, 2022, giving art patrons, collectors and art lovers a broader range of ways in which to engage with artists and destinations throughout the state.
