Mental health is one of the most important aspects of overall health and wellbeing. While mental health issues may not be as visible as physical injuries, mental health is just as important, if not more important, than physical health. Just like how physical health can be subject to a large variety of illnesses and injuries, mental health can also suffer due to a wide range of conditions. These can range in severity and presentation, but all mental health issues should be taken extremely seriously and treated by a mental health professional.

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and Free Arts works with children all over the Valley who have experienced trauma, neglect or homelessness. Assistance League® of Phoenix (ALP) is celebrating the 50th Annual Celebration of Caring with an online fundraising campaign now through April 8, 2021. ABC15 will host the ninth annual ABC15 Telethon benefiting Phoenix  Children’s Hospital virtually on Wednesday, April 14 from 6 a.m. – 10:35 p.m. The popular event raised more than $769,000 for Phoenix Children’s patient families in 2019. Due to the  COVID-19 pandemic, the annual telethon typically broadcasted in April was canceled in 2020.
