OMG.

I am not pregnant. Not even close. BUT. I recently saw a maternity dress I can't stop thinking about.

I was visiting a maternity shop client recently and was convinced my money would stay safely in my wallet. Like I would want, or even fit into, anything for pregnant ladies. But, as they pulled out this convertible maxi dress by Pouch, I couldn't help but wish they made it for non-pregs.

It's a modal mix, unbelievably soft, and the long fabric panels can be twisted, tied and pulled into all different silhouettes. How genius is this for preggo...

Pure Excess 

Ugh, as if I needed another reason to be obsessed with J.Crew.

I have a stylist friend at my local J.Crew store who basically tells me what to buy and how to combine it all. I listen to everything she says, and it's always spot-on- I wear everything I buy from her constantly. So, needless to say, I have a closet of cool patterns and colors and belts that I pile on with as much panache as I can muster. The golden rule? The more, the better. Pile it on.

Today I peeked on their site and they have an entire lookbook and packing guides up, all inspired by Bali. The places that holds the #1 spot on my "Where To Go" list.

A Workout Vid That Works

I loveeeee barre classes. I've never found it so easy to hurt so much, which is a good thing when you want toned muscles.

If you haven't been, I strongly suggest it- it's simple, small movements that somehow manage to be extremely effective. The classes almost always focus on the same few movements- they're done with playground balls, ballet barres and small weights, all things you can find or simulate in your own home.

Mission Impossible

I was given the difficult task lately of baby gift shopping. I know cool items, sure, but kids are like a foreign language to me. They don't like me, I don't like them. I don't know anyting about the behavior of a kid. We just kind of stay away from each other. 

We landed on some DVDs we know the kiddo loves, but if I'd seen Jonathan Adler's Twoolies Lion, I would have totally gotten this instead. Created by an architect and Mayan artists, the Twoolies are carefully handmade by Tzotzil weavers using natural wool knitted in manual looms, and are a modern twist on ancestral, native designs.
