How often do you reach the big “O?”  Turns out, the more you do, the healthier you’ll be.

What’s more important to you: money or sex?

Well, both can buy you happiness.

Here’s why.  According to a 2005 study, increasing sexual intercourse from once a month to once a week equaled the same fulfillment as $50,000!

Ok, maybe that’s a little much for today’s economy, but it’s still quite a benefit to getting down and dirty.

Practicing safe, monogamous sex can actually be healthy in many ways; that, according to Joann Cohen, a Scottsdale relationship consultant. (www.joanncohen.com)

Yes, making love is not only magical, but mighty marvelous for your physical and mental well-being.

Did you know you should average 200 orgasms a year?  Cohen says some studies show having multiple “Os” can reduce your physiological age by six years.  (Looks like couples need to kick things up in the bedroom, considering most Americans have sex an average one time a week!)

Lucky for you, today I’m simply a wealth of good news.  There just so happens to be truth behind that healthy post-intercourse glow.  Yep, instead of a facelift, opt for more sex-- regular love-making makes you look younger.

“The theory is sex allows the release of the human growth hormone,” said relationship consultant, Joann Cohen.

Habitually “doing it” is also a cure for troubled sleepers.  Turns out, orgasms give you a good night’s snooze.  (It should come as no surprise because sex has a relaxing effect.)

But while you’re working up a sweat, you’ll be burning about 85 calories each 30 minutes.  Yes, consider sex a solid excuse for exercise.

“It’s not a ton of calories, but it’s definitely more fun than running,” said Cohen.
