With a tilt of her head and a big pittie smile, you cannot help but to fall in love with adorable Almond! The sweet three-year-old pup has quite a longstanding history with the Arizona Humane Society and is hoping to find a patient home that lets her be her true self.

Almond was originally rescued as a sick stray in 2023 when she came to AHS after giving birth to two puppies. The whole family was cared for in the shelter's Mutternity Suites, a quiet, medically supervised area for nursing and pregnant mama dogs, until they were cleared to go into a Foster Hero home.

Once she was done caring for her pups, Almond was adopted but unfortunately has found herself back at the shelter two years later due to her family being unable to care for her. Her previous family says that Almond can be quite shy and prefers the company of women over men, however she does warm up with time and lots of TLC.
