The Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL) saves the lives of over 4,000 cats and dogs every year and this life-saving work would not be possible without the support and generosity of the local community. As AAWL continues to grow and take in more vulnerable animals, more dedicated foster families are needed to help care for them until they are ready to find their forever home.

There are so many benefits to becoming a foster for a pet in need, here are just a few.

Paradise Valley resident and founder of My Sister’s Closet, Ann Siner has a heart for mothers and animals, and the desire to make a difference in the Valley. Over the years, Siner has graciously donated $4 million to various causes and charities that support women, wildlife and animals. 

Scottsdale community outreach group H3 Phoenix is conducting a fundraiser this summer for Sunshine Acres Children’s Home, a privately funded family group home in Mesa, Ariz. 

ABC15 and the community came together on Wednesday, April 13 to raise $429,592 for Phoenix Children’s during the 10th annual ABC15 telethon. All funds benefited the hospital’s pediatric care, programs and services that Phoenix Children’s has provided to patients and their families for over 35 years.
