Fountain Hills Park roared to life in April as Concours in the Hills, a charity car show benefiting Phoenix Children’s Hospital, brought together auto enthusiasts and community supporters.

Presented by Discount Tire, the event raised an impressive $437,657 through sponsorships, vehicle registrations, vendors, and generous donations. Proceeds will benefit Phoenix Children’s Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders and the Cardiothoracic Surgery Support Fund.

Now in its 11th year, the event has grown dramatically since its 2014 debut with just 220 cars and 3,000 attendees. This year, over 1,000 vehicles and approximately 40,000 spectators filled the park. Military and civilian helicopters, including a Black Hawk and Cobra, were on display alongside sponsor booths and vendors.

The show featured categories such as European, Domestic, Asian, Race Cars, Off-Road, and Motorcycles. A section dedicated to rare, limited-edition exotics wowed the crowd, showcasing cars like a Koenigsegg Trevita, McLaren 750S 3-7-59, and a 1952 Jaguar C-Type. Event founder Peter Volny led the opening ceremony with retired racing legends including Arie Luyendyk and Lyn St. James. The event concluded with a check presentation to Phoenix Children’s.

Seven award categories honored the best vehicles. Highlights included a 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB taking “Best of Show,” a 1936 Alfa Romeo Botticella Spider winning “Best Race Car,” and a 2024 Ducati Panigale claiming “Best Motorcycle.”

Now operated by Phoenix Children’s with the support of auxiliary group PCH50, Concours in the Hills continues to thrive as a high-impact, community-driven event. “It’s an incredible honor to help drive meaningful change,” said Volny.
