In the spring, AZFoothills.com kicked off its first-annual Nonprofit of the Year competition in which more than 300 Valley organizations vied for the winning title and a sponsorship package from Arizona Foothills Magazine. After weeks of voting, PANDA, which was founded in Phoenix in the 80’s, came out on top. Here, get to know the noble nonprofit that has a mission of improving treatments and aiding in the discovery of cures for devastating childhood diseases.

The nonprofit organization Little Pink Houses of Hope provides vacation retreats for breast cancer patients and their families. Families from across the United States and Canada bond and connect with other families during the week long retreat. The retreats are located across the United States and in the Virgin Islands.
