This year’s Connections of Hope Gala is less than a month away and is one of the most powerful events in the Valley. The Gala benefits a statewide program called Teen Lifeline, a suicide prevention hotline made by teens, for teens who are struggling and need guidance. Whether it be stress venting or a final resource, Teen Lifeline experts work 365 days a year in hopes of assisting callers toward healing and happiness.

The event includes an exceptional dinner, a live auction, entertainment, and most importantly, instruction on how to make a positive impact. There is also an award given to  celebrate a member of the community who transcends in contributing to the well-being of our society. The 2019 award winner is Sissie Roberts Shank, as she empowers the youth, women and dream chasers to never give up and always persevere. Roberts Shank explains that she is motivated when, “...I see little successes around me and in my company, and betterment in society.” Her message to the youth is “Don’t be so serious.” Her dedication paid off beautifully, as she has grown her grandparent’s A/C business into a flourishing local company. She plans on continuing to benefit the community because it is “part of [her] culture, wanting to help.”

Tickets to the 2019 Connections of Hope Gala are $250 each. If you are interested in sponsorship, packages are available from $3,000 to $100,000. This life-changing function will begin at 6 p.m. on Oct. 4, and take place at the desert-chic Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia.
