Is a bar crawl not really your scene? The Tucson Coffee Crawl may be more your style! November 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., some of Tucson’s best cafes will be participating in an event made especially for the “curiously caffeinated.”

In celebration of the world-class coffee scene that lives in Tucson, participating coffee shops will host demonstrations that educate guests about proper coffee roasting and brewing techniques. Crawlers will get to experience the culture of craft coffee in Tucson.

The event is free and open to the public. “Cupping” events, however, are $1 per person. In a “cupping,” a small amount of grounds are brewed in the cup with no filter. After brewing, a crust of grounds will form on the top of the cup. In typical “cupping” fashion, guests break the crust, smell the coffee, and take a spoonful of the liquid to taste the coffee. This unique event is a fun new way to experience coffee culture.

Guests can attend as much or as little of the crawl as they would like. Guests can choose shops that spark their interest the most. The entire crawl is bike-able and most of it is walk-able. Suggested routes and directions are online. Pastries, sandwiches, and other eats will be available for purchase at many of the cafes.

Participating coffee shops include: Cartel Coffee Lab, Sparkroot, Yellow Brick Coffee, Exo Roast Co., Caffe Luce, and Adventure Coffee Roasting. Don’t miss this unique event for coffee-lovers to band together, make new friends, converse with old ones, and all while sampling some of Tucson’s finest coffee!
