It's the A-list escape in the heart of the Valley: The Montelucia, only the most exotic AZ escape.  Here's why you'll want to check out the Scottsdale property, especially this Labor Day weekend.

It’s so posh, even the President picks this hot spot for his Scottsdale accommodations, and after experiencing Paradise Valley’s Montelucia Resort & Spa, I must agree with Barack on this one.  The Spanish-infused destination scores high on my personal list of luxurious area hotels—no doubt, you’ll feel miles away from all the Valley madness.

The BF and I checked into our Oasis Poolside Guestroom, a swanky 504-square foot haven with a spacious 135-square foot private patio.  The bedroom boasted probably the comfiest king-size bed ever, in addition to a 42-inch flat screen, comfy sitting area, and stocked refreshment center.  However, the limelight of our accommodations was definitely the bathroom—OMG, that inviting sunken tub was the best part of all.  My newfound BFF (the bathtub) sat against the separate sprawling shower, big enough to fit a family of five.  Paradise found.

But before opting for a bubble a bath, I put on my bikini.  There’s nothing like hitting up the pool on a hot August day—especially when your pool is at the Montelicia.

Yep, we made our way to the resort’s Kasbah Pool, one of the many refreshing regions of the property.  The tunes of Dave Mathews and Bob Marley played tastefully over the Kasbah speakers, as the BF and I made ourselves quite comfy in our cabana.  We were greeted with fresh fruits and veggies, then delivered a tasty sipper.  The high energy, oversized pool flaunts a Mediterranean physique, being lined with blue mosaic fountains, and hotel guests are able to utilize the lounge-like feature 24/7.

After a couple hours of poolside R&R, it was time to say goodbye to our cabana—we didn’t want to be late for our spa treatments.
