What did you have for breakfast this morning?

As a friend once told me, there’s no such thing as a skinny pancake eater.

Yes, put down those pancakes down if you want to get that bikini body in time for summer.

Forget fad diets, we’re talking the savvy, smart ways you can develop a healthy lifestyle that will keep the pounds off for good.

We’ve all heard it before: eat less, exercise more—the key to losing weight.

So what to healthfully feast on while fulfilling your taste buds?

We met up with Registered Dietician Michelle Gorman of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona.  In lieu of March being Nutrition Month, she’s spreading the word on what you need to know to secure a sexy physique to flaunt when the sun starts to shine.

She says you’ll want to start you day with a combination of carbs, protein, and fiber—that will keep you full throughout the morning.  A good breakfast includes egg whites and fruit, or whole wheat toast coated with peanut butter.

For lunch and dinner, Gorman says go for lean meats and salad—but what she calls, a “smart salad.”

As it turns out, it’s good versus evil when it comes to creating your medley of leafy greens.
