There seems to be a fine line between fantasy and reality when it comes to some celebs.  Fierstein says addicts have a blind spot; their high often blurs their perspective.

That’s why many mental health professionals are suggesting Sheen is bi-polar, experiencing manic highs and depressive lows.

“You need to be off drugs to figure out whether you have bi-polar disorder.”

Before any diagnosis, Fierstein says Sheen needs to ditch the drugs—and before that, our Charlie will need to take a hit of a harsh dose of reality.

“Many people are saying he either he gets into recovery, goes to jail, or dies.  I don’t know if it’s that clear-cut, but he’ll hit rock bottom one way or another --whether he likes it or not.”

And who knows that rock bottom will finally be.

One would think this father would enter the road to recovery for custody purposes, or maybe initiate a come-back and return to TV airwaves.  Either way, it’s up to Charlie to choose his fate.  Unfortunately, Fierstein says Sheen is just not ready to seek treatment.
