Yua: Henri Matisse and the Inner Arctic Spirit

Though the artistic works of Henri Matisse have long been admired, they have never been seen quite like this. The Heard Museum, which is hosting the remarkable exhibit, will be the only venue to see these original works of art. The encompassing experience pairs original artwork by Matisse with Yup’ik masks, and analyzes how the masterful painter and the people of the Arctic found unexpected inspiration in one another. Admission tickets are $7. For more information on this event, click here.
