Frankie Muniz, current Valley resident, drummer for You Hang Up, and former “Malcolm in the Middle” star, announced via Twitter yesterday that he just suffered his second mini stroke.

His message to fans on November 25 stated, "Hopefully that will be the last. Miserable." The 27 year old experienced the same health scare almost a year ago to the day.

According to Mayo Clinic neurologist Jerry W. Swanson, M.D., a transient ischemic attack, also known as TIA and commonly referred to as a “mini stroke”, is a temporary interruption of blood flow to part of the brain, spinal cord or retina.

The symptoms of a TIA are similar to those of a stroke, but a TIA doesn't destroy brain cells or cause permanent disability. The resulting stroke-like symptoms usually resolve after an hour or two.

Muniz appears to be in stable condition fortunately.
