IKEA in Tempe invites the public to the IKEA Midsummer Celebration, which will be hosted in the restaurants of all IKEA U.S. stores, on Monday, June 14. Midsummer, an important holiday steeped in tradition in Sweden (where the popular store originated), marks the summer solstice (a k a the longest day of the year). Visitors are invited to enjoy the essence of this Swedish summer holiday with IKEA's Midsummer buffet table. Tickets are available or $12.99 per person or $4.99 for kids 12 and under (IKEA FAMILY members eat for $9.99 per person or $2.49 for kids 12 and under).

The IKEA Midsummer Smörgåsbord menu includes:

  • Assorted varieties of herring
  • Whole poached salmon 
  • Tossed green salad cucumber salad
  • Rhode Island salad 
  • Summer salad
  • Assorted Swedish cheeses
  • Boiled dill potatoes
  • Meatballs with lingonberries
  • Hard boiled eggs with shrimp
  • Gravad lax w/ mustard sauce
