Last Thursday night, 11 of the Valley's finest patties went head-to-head at Scottsdale Culinary Festival's second-annual Burger Battle. After a panel of judges and more than 500 revelers enjoyed all-you-can-eat burger samples (and some fries and whoopie pies for good measure) from the likes of Culinary Dropout, Sapporo, Pita Jungle, El Hefe and many more, they voted for the fave burger. The 2013 champs: RnR’s patty with brussels sprouts and onion jam snagged the Judge’s Choice Award, and Zinbuger Wine & Burger Bar, with its kobe beef, port salut and truffle aioli-bacon cheeseburger, was named the People’s Choice Award. (Zinburger also won the 2012 Burger Battle’s Judge’s Choice award.)

Burger Battle attendees also enjoyed live tunes from The Walkens (Best of Our Valley winner for Best Valley Band) and drinks from Leinenkugel.
