The Phoenician, Arizona’s premier AAA Five Diamond resort destination, recently completed more than $4 million in renovations to its 25 suite offerings – including two presidential suites – located throughout the property’s main and casita buildings. The extensive re-design caps a multi-faceted capitalization project begun more than three years ago that has included the enhancement of all guestrooms, as well as the debut of three diverse restaurants and a state-of-the-art ballroom.
The suites, ranging in size from 1,150 to nearly 4,000 square feet, incorporate a traditional-transitional elegance that makes a classic, but bolder, statement. A more playful use of textures and colors is employed, with special attention given to the layering of both to complement the spaciousness of each area. Cool and warm tones, such as navy blue and citron yellow, are intermixed to exude a sharp sophistication.

Adding to each suite’s personal motif is the implementation of individual nuances, including custom-designed wall coverings. Non-conventional elements are also introduced throughout as artwork, such as the placement of draperies behind sheers, as opposed to the traditional juxtaposition.
Bringing the latest technology to The Phoenician suites, television mirrors have been installed in the bathrooms, offering dual functionality while maximizing both space and quality. Other new amenities include DVD sound systems, iPod docking stations, wired and wireless Internet access from each suite’s desk; and 42- to 47-inch LCD flat-panel, high-definition televisions.
