Scottsdale Couple Advances on American Idol

Young Scottsdale lovebirds Jacqueline Dunford, 21, and Nick Fink, 19, hit a high note with judges on Wednesday night’s “American Idol.” Dunford belted out “Mercy” by Duffy while her boyfriend, Fink, sung a smooth version of “Sunday Morning” by Maroon 5 during their Austin, Tex., auditions.

The duo impressed all three judges—Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson—and were promptly given their golden tickets to Hollywood.

 

Phoenix Open's Green Out!

EXTRA EXTRA!

The Waste Management Phoenix Open is going green, and asking all golf enthusiasts to help them show the world they're "the greenest show on grass" with a green out Saturday, February 5, 2011.

Saturday, all fans, players, caddies, Thunderbirds and vendors are asked to show support for green and eco-sensitive efforts of the tournament by wearing green. Shirts, hats, pants and shoes!

 

 

 

Private Alice in Wonderland Party Scheduled for February 1 at the Fairmont Scottsdale

Tuesday, February 1 is the private kickoff party for the 2011 Waste Management Open. Word on the street is guests will be taken down a rabbit hole into Alice in Wonderland's Mad Hatter Party.

Britney Spears Album Gets Release Date

EXTRA EXTRA!

It was leaked (on a Jive sales one-sheet) that Britney Spears' newest album will be released March 15, 2011. 

The performer's album will be released in standard and deluxe versious, with the deluxe arriving with four additional songs and an extended booklet.

It will be her seventh album.

 

Arizona Jeweler's Son Joins the Business

EXTRA EXTRA!

Ryan Coffin, son of Randy Coffin of Coffin and Trout Fine Jewellers, will join the business this year as a sales associate.

Ryan Coffin has previously held a position at Westar, and was a minor league pitcher for more than four years.
