The Alpha Chi Omega sorority at Arizona State University and A New Leaf raised over $300,000 for domestic violence survivors. More than 150 chapter sisters gathered at A New Leaf’s La Mesita Community Campus in Mesa for their annual Day of Action, exceeding over 12,000 volunteer hours in support of survivors.

"Their commitment extends far beyond fundraising. They show up year after year with compassion, energy, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Their partnership gives hope to survivors today,” said Dana Martinez, director of domestic violence programming at A New Leaf.

For years Alpha Chi has collaborated with A New Leaf, being recognized as one of their most dedicated partners, continuously contributing thousands of dollars and volunteer hours every year. The event included volunteer services, education and a check presentation highlighting the sorority chapters contribution. Ongoing investments have helped establish to survivors that themselves and their children have access to services with long-term stability.

"I congratulate Alpha Chi Omega and A New Leaf on their growing collaboration to help those in need,” said ASU President Michael M. Crow.

According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, roughly 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men will experience domestic violence during their lifetime.
