Lush Opens Largest Store Yet in Scottsdale

Lush is preparing for the opening of its largest store to date at Scottsdale Fashion Square on August 6. The 2,600-sq.0ft. cosmetic heaven is the forth location in Arizona after the recent opening at Arrowhead Towne Center. This new addition brings Lush’s portfolio to a total of 242 storesacross North America (900 worldwide).

Valley Gym Raises Funds for Cycling Instructor with Cancer

When one of their cycling instructors, Natalie, was diagnosed with leukemia, locally owned and operated Mountainside Fitness immediately wanted to help. Therefore, they began selling Mountainside Fitness Cycle T-shirts and tanks before every cycling class at its Indian Bend, Shea, Ice Den and Desert Ridge locations. At $25 each, 100 percent of the proceeds from these sales are being donated directly to Natalie and her family to assist with the cost of her...

Jan. 12 and 14: Phoenix Suns to Play at Mexico City Arena

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Zignia Live announced that the Phoenix Suns will take on the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs in the first consecutive regular-season games in Mexico Jan. 12 and 14, respectively, at the Mexico City Arena. The games will mark the first time the league hosts two regular-season contests in Mexico in the same season.

July 30-Aug. 6: Valley Stores Host School-Supply Drives

Uptown Cheapskate, an upscale thrift and resale store with four Phoenix-area locations, will be hosting a school supply drive for the children at Sojourner Center from Saturday, July 30 to Saturday, Aug. 6. Last year, Sojourner Center provided shelter and support to more than 1,200 women and children impacted by domestic violence.  Of those served on the campus, 52 percent were children.

New General Manager Named for The County Club at DC Ranch

Kyle Draper has returned to the team at The Country Club at DC Ranch as its new general manager.  Draper had served as the club’s clubhouse manager for six years prior to his appointment as the general manager/COO at Tucson Country Club. 

Hundreds of applications were submitted to the search firm of Kopplin & Kuebler for the position.
