In an effort to support the personal success of women in the community, Dress for Success Phoenix is giving several Valley women a new professional look at The Limited at Phoenix's Biltmore Fashion Park August 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. Dress for Success Phoenix is a local nonprofit organization that offers professional apparel, a network of support and career development tools to women who are entering or re-entering the work force. It's that time of year again! Scottsdale is gearing up for its Third Annual Scottsdale Polo Championships: Horses & Horsepower, and this year it is even bigger and better. To add to the excitement for the event, held on Nov. 1-2 this year, you can meet US Polo stars Jeff Hall and Sunny Hale at Dominick's Steakhouse on Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The venue will partner with My Sister's Closet, Rolfs Salon and The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show to put on a no-host and early bar menu including Dominick's light fare and signature cocktails. Get your spoons ready! The Valley’s top newscasters will compete in the “Sundae Summit Challenge” ice cream eating contest at The Phoenician on Sunday, August 31 at 12 p.m. The event, which is open to the public, will allow visitors to support the children and family members of the 19 Yarnell firefighters who recently lost their lives by donating to the Yarnell Fire Memorial Scholarship Endowment.The Sundae Summit Chalenge--which is sold at the resort's Cafe and Ice Cream Parlor for $49--is actually a concoction of 19 scoops of ice cream, three Heath bars, three Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bars, six ounces of caramel sauce...

The Country Club at DC Ranch in Scottsdale announces an upcoming renovation and expansion plan. The current facility dates back to 1997, the developer’s original concept when there were fewer members. In response to the growing membership, The Club established a Long Range Planning Committee, to create its vision and goals for the future.
