There is no doubt that kids make the holidays more fun. Seeing the magic of the holidays unfold from a child’s fresh perspective can open all of our eyes as to what the holidays are really about.

This holiday season, I challenge you to treat your inner-child (you know the one) to relish in the festivities that Tucson has to offer in December. One way to complete this challenge is to check out Zoolights at Reid Park Zoo.

Whether you’ve got kids or not, the luminary displays at Zoolights will stimulate any and every child at heart.

Zoo Lights at Reid Park Zoo is guaranteed to put you in the winter spirit, with jingle bells, refreshments, twinkling lights, falling snow, and Santa. Light displays, animal-theme light sculptures, and thousands of sparkling bulbs will help make Zoo Lights a part of your Tucson holiday tradition.

While many of the lights on display represent many of the creature at the zoo, the Zoo representatives say that most animals choose to be off exhibit for this event.

What’s even more appealing about Zoolight is the affordability factor. With entrance only $5 for adults; $4 for adult members and $3 for all children (2-14). Through December 12, the Reid Park Zoo is offering $2 off admission with each new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or online ahead of time. Zoo Lights runs nightly from 6-8PM on the following dates:

Thursdays – Sundays, December 3-19 Monday – Wednesday, December 20-22
