Tucson has long been known for its outstanding golf course repertoire. The completion of the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club a few golf seasons ago only accentuated an already stellar course collection. The Ritz is extending its familial arm to offer a new golf experience for families desiring to tee up together.

The new “Little Saguaro” golf program will debut this month and is designed to create a golf experience for the whole family to share. This new family oriented offering provides golfers of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to enjoy Jack Nicklaus’ latest desert masterpiece.

The new program will take effect on August 28th and will feature two sets of specially designed family tees on each of the 27 holes at award-winning course, host of the annual WGC-Accenture Match Play Championships. Each course was tailored with the beginning golfer in mind. There is one set of tees at 1,200 yards and another at 1,800 yards.

“Families looking to spend quality time together will enjoy this world-class destination,” said director of sales and marketing, Stephen Deucker. “Whether it is a day relaxing in your own private cabana poolside or introducing the game of golf to your children, we provide activities designed for every family member to create shared memories.”

The “Little Saguaro” program incorporates The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club’s policy of complimentary golf for guests ages 15 and younger, when accompanied by a paying adult. Availability will start every day at 1 p.m. with complimentary rental clubs available on a first-come, first served basis. Kids can also take advantage of professional instruction when joining a paying adult for a lesson at no extra charge.

The new “Little Saguaro” golf program is yet another addition to The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain’s already fun-filled repertoire of family focused experiences. Enjoy playing the game of golf amidst the majestic Saguaros and the beauty of Southern Arizona’s High Sonoran Desert.

In addition to golf, the Rit-Carlton Dove Mountain has an assortment of activities for families to enjoy. Located northwest of Tucson, the resort is a family-friendly destination with an assortment of adventure activities to be enjoyed, beyond the golf course. Saddle up to tour the scenic mountain trails on horseback, or buckle up to experience the wonders of the desert via a guided eco-jeep tour. Get up close and friendly with the habitat by taking a mountain bike tour that starts from right at the front door of the hotel. Or enjoy a day by the pool and a 235-foot water slide for children of all ages to take their turn going down.
