Chasing Rainbows holds significant importance to Fox Theatre, as it was the first film shown in the vintage theatre on opening night in 1930. The gala aims to celebrate the theatre, how far it has come, and the importance it holds to Tucson citizens.

The event will open at 6 p.m. with a walk down the red carpet. Guests will sip on 1930s-inspired cocktails while enjoying small bites. One of the most exciting parts of the gala is the encouragement by the theatre for guests to dress in period attire or formal wear. The original film, Chasing Rainbows, will be playing in the bar areas. A live performance by Grammy Award winner, Steve Winwood, will also be featured.

Winwood is a celebrated composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist. He has worked with the band, Traffic, and produced the Grammy Award-winning solo album, “Back In The High Life.” Two raffle winners at the event will be able to meet Winwood back stage after his performance.

Tickets to the gala are $75 per person, or $150 per person for VIP admission. VIP guests will enjoy priority seating, appetizers, drinks, and post-show dessert. Tickets are available through the Fox Tucson Theatre box office. The event not only helps locals to support the famed theatre, but is also an opportunity to converse with fellow Tucsonans and pull out the fancy formalwear!
