In honor of the popular Italian holiday, “Ferragosto,” Chef Massimo Tenino, owner of Tavolino Ristorante Italiano, is inviting everyone to celebrate with him on August 12 at 6 p.m.

Ferragosto, which dates back to the Roman Empire, is now a short holiday where Italians take a brief vacation while enjoying multi course meals and delicious wines. Chef Tenino wants to honor the holiday by creating a family-style feast of his own, as they do in Italy. Tenino says the restaurant will push the tables together, and enjoy a great evening among other Tucson family.

The menu for the evening is created in celebration of different Italian foods. The Calamari Fritti is served as an appetizer, the Rigatoni al Pomodoro is served as a main dish, and the Sorbetti Misti is served for dessert. These delicious eats are accompanied by a number of other entrees, appetizers, and snacks.

The cost of the event is $65 per person. The restaurant will be open exclusively for guests of the Feast of Ferragosto.

Tavolino is also hosting cooking classes August 13-15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. The cost per class is $55 per person, or $145 for all three classes. The hands-on classes include recipes, dinner, and wine. August 13 will be dedicated to Italian-style grilling, August 14 covers Tortino, Risotto, and Tiramisu, and August 15 guests will cook up fresh pasta.

Join Tavolino in the variety of August events. Guests of all events can taste the incredible food that has made Tavolino a Tucson favorite, sample a variety of wines, and converse with other Tucson citizens.
