The Tucson Padres, a Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, will begin their regular season on April 5 at 7:05 p.m. against the Fresno Grizzlies. The Tucson Padres’ games are a great way for local baseball fans to get a taste of America’s favorite pastime without driving to Phoenix to catch a game.

The Tucson Padres play at Kino Sports Complex, a stadium rich with baseball history. The complex features six concession stands, electronic scoreboards, six full practice fields, a novelty shop, batting cages, and a load of fun for the whole family. The former spring training home of the Chicago White Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks still hosts various spring training games during season.

On opening day, the Padres game will feature its weekly Budweiser Thirsty Thursday deal in which 16-ounce beers are sold for only $1.50. The deals, however, do not stop there. Featuring various events like fireworks after the game, theme nights, family nights, and military appreciation nights, Kino is always offering great deals to Tucson residents and visitors alike. Be sure to check out the promotional deals before purchasing your tickets. General admission tickets can be purchased for $7 each, box seats for $10, and premier seats can be purchased for $15 each.

With players such as Anthony Rizzo and Anthony Bass that call themselves Tucson Padre alumni, the organization breeds a variety of future Major League Baseball stars. Whether you are looking to kick back with friends and enjoy the game, or take the kids for some baseball action, the Padres present the perfect opportunity to get to know the players and the game. Grab some peanuts and Cracker Jacks and root for the Padres.
