Description
In celebration of the“#366Hooks: Form and Designed Revealed Over a Year’s Time” exhibition on display at Sculpture Tucson through Aug. 15, the #366 Hooks Open House takes place Saturday, July 30 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Hosted bySculpture Tucson and Arizona Artist Blacksmith Association, guests are invited to participate in this one-of-a-kind blacksmith exhibit and open house, during which they can view blacksmith demonstrations (until noon), enjoy donuts, coffee, tea and cold beverages and mingle with blacksmiths from around Arizona.
The exhibition features 366 hooks designed and hand forged byinternationally recognized and award-winningCanadianblacksmithMatt Jenkins who began the project in 2016 (a leap year) as a personal journey to get himself through a creative rut. Jenkins challenged himself to design and forge a different hook for each day of the year. The exhibition is currently on display at Sculpture Tucson through Aug. 15.
