Description
The Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus annual CLASSIC CONCERT will be an outdoor event on Saturday, February 20, 3:00pm at the Chorus building located at 5770. E. Pima Street. Social distancing and mask wearing will be applied and all tickets will be by advance reservation only.
Under the direction of Dr. Julian Ackerley, the chorus will perform time-honored music representing a wide range of repertoire. Included will be selections from Baroque and Classical choral masters as well as modern works.
The boys’ treble voices will be joined with the tenors and basses of the Young Men’s Ensemble accompanied by strings. A featured section will be two movements of Regina Coeli by famed Classical era composer Wolfgang Mozart. Also programmed is the vibrant Jubilate Deo by Swedish Baroque composer Johann Helmich Roman, and a lush arrangement of the traditional Scottish Loch Lomond.
Tickets for the CLASSIC CONCERT are $15.00 in advance, and $8.00 for children under 12. All seats are pre-assigned in socially distanced family units.
