Why stick with the expected this Valentine’s Day? Take the one you love on an exciting adventure for an unexpected look at the real west with a visit to Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West (SMoW for short!).

Now through April, SMoW is open late -- until 9 p.m. -- on Thursday night and is the perfect venue for date night for the next 12 Thursdays! Plus, this year Valentine’s Day is on Thursday, Feb. 14.

SMoW is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Old Town’s Art District and surrounded by amazing restaurants and eateries – fabulous venues for a post-museum visit bite and a drink.

SMoW features Western stories told through exceptional art, artifacts, community and culture. You’ll enjoy fun social media-worthy photo ops, see modern artists’ take on the West, explore saddles, spurs and other authentic Old West cowboy gear, as well as Hopi pottery spanning six centuries and creations by Western artists like the “Father of Western Art,” Charles M. Russell, and SMoW’s latest rotation exhibition featuring Russell’s Women in his Life and Art.
