Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children Raises $1.1 Million

The Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children (ACFC) marked a significant achievement with a record-breaking $1.1 million raised at its fifth annual Ava’s Tree House Gala, held on November 1, 2024. This milestone event, which attracted 475 guests, will fund vital social, emotional, and financial support services for Arizona families battling pediatric cancer.

Little Free Library Made Possible by Arizona Organizations

NOAH Cholla Health Center in Scottsdale will open a Little Free Library with the help of Delta Dental that will hold dozens of books — including several on oral health. 

Delta Dental of Arizona has helped fund NOAH’s three dental clinics since 2013. NOAH provides exams, cleanings, sealants and fluoride varnish, fillings, oral surgery, root canals, crowns and more for Valley patients.

Phoenix Children’s Digs Up Over a Million Dollars for Targeted Therapy Program

On November 2, Big Dig for Kids provided 200 patients the chance to operate excavators, scissor lifts, and heavy equipment in a safe construction zone. Since 2016, Big Dig for Kids has raised over $2.5 million for the MIBG Targeted Therapy Program. 

The event, sponsored by Sundt Construction, raised over $1,080,000 for Phoenix Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Hundreds of volunteers showed up to help create a beautiful day for all who attended.

Arizonans Raise 3.5M Meals for United Food Bank

United Food Bank’s seventh annual Summer of a Million Meals fundraiser was joined by 12News and Fry’s Food Stores to help families that experience financial hardships during the summer months. This year, the organization provided over 3.5 million meals!

The campaign, which started in May until September 2, held events throughout those four months. Donors could contribute through one of four telethon events with local celebrities, online at azmillionmeals.org, at a registered Fry’s store, or during one of the donation events.
