Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is joining the fight to end childhood hunger in America with its 14th annual partnership with No Kid Hungry. This ongoing initiative comes at a critical time, as one in five children in Arizona faces hunger and lacks consistent access to nutritious food. With the cost of living on the rise, many families are finding it increasingly difficult to make ends meet.
In recognition of Hunger Awareness Month, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria invites guests to participate in its month-long fundraiser taking place through September 30. Diners at any Grimaldi’s location can choose to donate to No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring all children receive the nutritious meals they need to grow and thrive. For every $5 donated - up to $25 per visit - customers will receive bounce-back cards matching their donation amount, which can be used on a future visit. All funds raised during this campaign will directly benefit No Kid Hungry.
“Fourteen years of partnership with No Kid Hungry is something we’re incredibly proud of,” Grimaldi’s COO Michael Flaum said. “Each September, our guests step up in such a big way to make sure no child goes without a meal. Lack of access to healthy food impacts a child’s ability to learn, focus and grow and that’s why this mission is so close to our hearts at Grimaldi’s.”
Grimaldi’s is among thousands of restaurants nationwide supporting Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. The organization has worked closely with restaurants, food banks, and school districts throughout the Valley to fight food insecurity. According to No Kid Hungry, every $1 donated can help provide up to 10 meals for children in need.
“We’ve seen firsthand the impact that comes from rallying around this cause and have raised more than $1.3 million since 2012,” Flaum said. “All month long, when you dine with us, you’re choosing to support the fight against childhood hunger in America.”
