More than 1,000 guests turned out to cheer on the Board of Visitors’ 2020 Flower Girls and the grandchildren of BOV members.
In harmony with the Christmas music, the clicking of cameras (there were probably as many cameras as there were people) the families took to the runway donning the latest fashions from Dillard’s.
What an amazing group of young ladies!
This year’s winter wonderland decor helped showcase this festive affair - a wonderful way to kick off the holiday.
PIctured above in the holiday green blazer is William Francis who escorted his granddaughters Mackenzie, Molly and Shelby McDaniel (children of Paige and Cory McDaniel) on the runway. Their Grandmother is BOV Member, Shan Francis.
Joanie O’Connor chaired this very popular and well respected tradition. She's pictured below left, with Keely O'Connor and Sophia Natsues.
This year makes it the 66th annual. And the number of guests totaling over 1,000, is the norm for this very popular event. That's because. the Board of Visitors is the oldest charitable organization in Arizona, established in 1908. BOV Chairman Susan Westra.is pictured below left with Ashley Ragan and Brooke Machen.
The proceeds from the this year’s luncheon will benefit the community healthcare needs of women, children and the elderly. In 2019, the Board of Visitors granted over $1.1 million to local charities, including The Board of Visitors Ryan House, Homeless Youth Connection, Barrow Neurological Foundation and Mission of Mercy.
Since its inception, The Board of Visitors has granted more than $21 million to local nonprofit organizations in the greater Phoenix community serving the healthcare needs of women, children and the elderly.
