What a great way for Diamondbacks fans to meet pitcher Luke Weaver and enjoy some Raising Cane’s chicken, all while being serenaded by D-backs fan favorite organist Bobby Freeman

Yes, this intimate party at a Raising Cane’s in Phoenix, even had partygoers line dancing. Baxter the bobcat, the D-backs mascot and some Rally-backs were also there, mingling and dancing. Another one of the big stars was Brenly, the D-backs therapy dog. That’s because this was a puppy party.

Raising Cane’s has partnered with the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and Gabriel’s Angels to embark on a special journey. They are raising an adopted puppy – Brenly – to become a certified therapy dog in order to further the mission of Pets Helping Kids, a program that inspires confidence, compassion and best behaviors in at-risk children through pet therapy.

The Rally-backs also handed out some fun prizes including D-backs squishy balls, game tickets, posters, hats and bat & ball combos. Baxter and the Rally-backs also helped cheer on those who had a chance to spin both the D-backs and Raising Canes wheel of prizes. That's the Diamondbacks Debbie Castaldo pictured below with Bobby Freeman on the organ for a rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."

“If you’re a D-backs fan, you’ve probably seen Brenly at Chase Field and in the Sandlot, but we wanted to give everyone a chance to meet him in person,” said Area Leader of Restaurants Laz Amanatidis, who joined guests for the party.

Giving back is part of the philosophy of the company founded by Todd Graves in 1996. Laz points out that, “Brenly has done an incredible job at showing us the power of puppy love and Gabriel’s Angels, which supports more than 15,000 children each year.” Laz also said that the party was a great opportunity to raise awareness.
