Zena and Her Warriors Looking for a Hero of Their Own!

Named after the Mighty Warrior Princess, sweet Zena and Her Warriors were transferred to the Arizona Humane Society earlier this month from a local emergency animal clinic after the three-year-old German Shepherd and her six three-week-old puppies were found abandoned in a dog park by a Good Samaritan.

Now being cared for in AHS’ Mutternity Suites, Zena has been working to gain weight while caring for her little ones. Luckily, the whole family was found to be in rather good health but are now in need of a loving foster family to care for them until they are old enough to be weaned from each other. At this age, mama does mostly everything for the pups as she cleans them, feeds them and socializes them but are in need of a quiet space in a home where they can focus on growing big and strong.

Being an AHS Foster Hero is a lifesaving venture with cases that fit every family and lifestyle. By bringing in a foster pet(s), you allow AHS to continue caring for even more of our community’s sick, injured and abused pets by opening up much-needed kennel space.
