Favorite person to follow?

Ryan Seacrest.  When I was on ‘American Idol,’ he gave me a high-five which became a huge viral video. High-five, Ryan!

Why did you start Tweeting?

To keep in touch with my fans.  They want to know about my concerts, TV appearances and CD releases, and Twitter is the quickest way to get that info out there.  I also love to surprise a fan with a personal Tweet whenever I can.

What do you never Tweet about?

Chocolate. My personal trainer follows me.

What Tweet has generated the most response?

Two Tweets: The release of my new CD Heartstrings on iTunes, and ripping my pants on tour right before I had to be on stage.

What is the strangest place you've Tweeted from?

An airplane flight to Tokyo, Japan when my phone wasn’t supposed to be on.

How do you choose who you follow?

I follow friends from ‘American Idol,’ my co-author for my upcoming book and people in the entertainment industry.

iPhone or BlackBerry?

I have two phones: one’s an AT&T phone and the other’s a Blackberry.
