Want to make your fat melt away?  Well, we have fat-loss tips you need to know about...

If you’re feeling a little fatty, here’s how you can lift that weight off your shoulders.  We’re dishing ways you can melt fat from your body.

We reached out to one of our fave Valley trainers, Jeremy Scott--he runs a boot-camp facility out of Scottsdale.  Jeremy and his partners at ProGrade shared with us their 15 tips to improve your physique.

Coming in at #1...Jeremy says you should eat 4-6 meals a day instead of the usual breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Frequent healthy eating habits actually regulates and boosts your metabolism; in turn, you’ll shed calories a whole lot quicker.

Next, skip the snack aisle at the grocery store.  That’s because Jeremy suggests choosing whole foods that are high in fiber and low in sugar.  For example, he says you should stock up on lead meats, fruits, veggies, nuts, and whole grains.

His 3rd tip is to eat low-glycemic carbohydrates instead of refined processed carbs which usually come boxed or bagged.  Like tip #2, these foods include vegetables and whole-wheat products like oatmeal.

And speaking of food, go rich in fiber--Jeremy’s 4th tip is to consume 25-35 grams per day.  It helps keep your tummy full, in addition to controlling insulin and blood sugar levels which often promote fat storage.

It’s also a good idea to add lean meat to every meal.  Protein helps satisfy hunger; and according to Jeremy, it also provides the essentials to maintain a lean body mass.

His #6 fat-melting tip is to eat adequate amounts of healthy fats like olive oil, walnuts, almonds, eggs, and other Omega-3 products.  These types of fats are great antioxidants that also contribute to improved brain function.  They also can prevent certain diseases.

Next, Jeremy says you should make fruits and veggies your best buddies.  That’s because it’s important to eat 5-10 servings a day to meet your micronutrient needs.  We all know leafy greens are good for us, so befriend the produce aisle.

Coming in at #8…bid farewell to soda and juice; instead, drink green tea and water.  Green tea has a bunch of health benefits—Jeremy suggests drinking 1ml of non-caffeinated fluid for every calorie you consume.

Another tip is to monitor your foot intake—consider balancing your fats.  Jeremy says one-third of your daily intake should come from saturated fats, 1/3 from monounsaturated fats, and 1/3 from polyunsaturated fats. Of course, this goes hand-in-hand with including antioxidant-rich Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids in your nutritional plan.

As for tip #10, keep in mind consistent fat loss requires good habits. Jeremy says this starts with a simple plan.  It’s a good idea to map your meals and stick to your menu.  If you follow it 24/7 for 2-3 weeks, you'll form habits that become part of your daily routine.

Jeremy also says you should grow to love “super-foods.”  Turns out, certain stuff has that nutritious boost we all benefit from.  These foods include salmon, low-fat plain yogurt, tomatoes, spinach, berries, whole oats, mixed nuts, olive oil, flax seeds, green tea, and various beans.

His 12th tip is to keep your total fat intake under 30% every day. You can easily do this by omitting certain fillers from your diet like butter, sour cream, and mayonnaise.

And #13 is a no brainer…EXERCISE!  While Jeremy says you CAN lose weight just by changing your eating habits, you’ll see a better long-term effect pairing a healthy diet with working out.  In other words, learn to love the gym.

Next, invest in a diary—a food diary.  Yep, Jeremy says if you record what you eat and drink, you’ll reach greater success.  That’s because you’ll be able to visually evaluate your eating habits and make conscious changes where you see fit.  Truth be told, if your fat loss efforts are stagnant, the answer can usually be found in your food journal.

Finally, tip #15…follow the 90% rule. If you honor your plan 90% of the time, fat will magically melt off your body.
