Of course, there’s no surprise here…learning to love leafy greens.  Yep, the value of veggies is endless—they contain fiber and a bunch of vitamins. Dark greens contain vitamin K for strong bones, while things like carrots have vitamin A keeping your skin nice and healthy.  And get this—one study shows men who ate 10 or more servings of tomato products per week saw a 35% decrease in their risk of prostate cancer.

Like vegetables, fruits are your friends…especially berries.  Polyphenol-rich strawberries, blueberries, and acai berries help keep you looking young—yep, they are awesome antioxidants fighting the aging process.  They help protect your immune system, as well as keep your skin soft and sexy.

Next up, good old nuts—make them your snack of choice.  Almonds, pecans, and walnuts galore are stocked with cholesterol-free protein helping lower the risk of stroke for women.  Unfortunately, these treats are not fat-free, so stick with once ounce of nuts (about 24) a day.  That equals about 160 calories.

Of course, pair your new menu with exercise.  The more you work your metabolism, the quicker you’ll shed weight and the better you’ll feel.  A balanced diet is the key to looking good and living long.

Salud to your health.
