Turns out, both males and females make additional flirting mistakes:

One; checking out other people instead of paying attention to your current prey.

Two; whining and responding in a negative manner.

And three; dressing to UN-impress.  (Rule of thumb: ladies—wear clothes that fit and flatter…men—clean up!)

Cohen says there’s nothing wrong with a simple, basic approach; in fact, she suggests an opening line like. “I want to talk to you; do you want to talk to me?”

If you get a positive reply, congrats; but now it’s time to spark conversation.

Cohen advises to consider your situation—if you’re in a dog park, talk about Fido; if you’re in a bar, ask her favorite drink, and so on.

You can also bring “flirting props” into the mix.  Discuss the athletic apparel you might be sporting, her unusually beautiful jewelry, etc.

When all else fails, have fun.  Cohen says a good flirt is someone with genuine interest.

However, if you’re still finding it difficult to reel her in, check out a Men’s Only Dating Boot-Camp, courtesy of Cohen and Dan Silverman, the Miami Dating Coach.
