Guys loved her and girls wanted to be her.  Now, the Valley's very own "Wonder Woman" is sharing what it takes to be a super-hero.

In her 20s, she was the bombshell in blue and gold fighting off bad guys.  Now, at 59-years old, the original “Wonder Woman” must have some secret, special powers up her sleeve—she’s still as sexy as ever.

Meet Lynda Carter—the former female super-hero, Miss World USA, and vivacious Valley vixen.

“I am totally a desert girl.  My father calls me a ‘desert rat,’” said Lynda Carter.

Yes, while she’s lived in D.C. more than 20 years, Carter calls Arizona home.  She recently made a pit-stop in the Valley to be the Grand Marshall in the Phoenix Pride Parade.

“There is such love among the Arizona people,” said Carter.

The actress says good old AZ is the finest state in the country.  She went to Arcadia High, and hit the road after high school, pursuing a singing career touring around the country.  At 22 years-old she returned to the Valley and took to pageants.  Beauty and luck were surely on her side…within due time, she became Miss Phoenix—then after that, Miss World USA.

The divine diva was bound for great success.  She ditched the Valley for California, and headed straight to Los Angeles.  That’s where she scored the star-role in “The New Adventures of Wonder Woman,” (1975-1979).  Carter quickly became a heartthrob, strutting her tight 24-year old body in little shorts and a bustier.  Guys loved her and girls wanted to be her.

“I think every actor needs to make the characters they play a part of them.”

Carter carries Wonder Woman everywhere she goes—but the starlet says it’s not all about outside beauty.

“A real wonder woman is who you are on the inside; what it is about you that makes you feel powerful.”

She also says Wonder Woman’s greatest gift is that of curiosity—if you don’t stimulate your brain, you’ll be bored.  …And bored is one thing Lynda Carter has never been.
