So far today, how many times have you thought about sex?

Believe it or not, according to often-repeated estimates, the male mind day-dreams about making love every seven seconds.

Ok, that might be cliché and a little extreme, but research shows your man most likely thinks about doing the dirty several times daily.

Knowing that, do you sincerely believe your significant other would pass up a tempting opportunity?

“Let’s say someone walks up to your husband, lifts up their shirt, and says ‘take me.’ If the guy is faithful, he’s going to say, ‘put your shirt back on, I’m going home to my wife,’” said Dianne Gottlieb, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

That’s what we all would hope for.

However, love (or lust?) is in the air as Spring Training kicks off and the sun starts to shine.  It’s the time of year when many celebs head to the Valley, catching their favorite team gear up for a big season.  Plus, it’s not out of the norm to spot those baseball babes frequenting hot spots around town.

That got me thinking.  Is there truth behind the stigma that those in the limelight often cheat?

“I don’t know the stats on it but I would say it’s pretty high.  I know here in Scottsdale plenty of people out of the limelight are even having affairs,” said Gottlieb.

It’s the unfortunate reality Gottlieb says haunts relationships with one “famous” spouse.

The couple’s therapist has seen this situation countless times over her ten year tenure running her private practice, Scottsdale Therapy.

But before Gottleib took on counseling, she spent many years working for Network Television.  During her TV stint, she saw first-hand what the spotlight could do to those supposedly in love.

“I worked for ‘Candid Camera’ and it seemed wherever we were, so many people in my cast and crew were having affairs.”

She says the long hours and distance took an effect on her cast and crew, but it’s that over-inflated sense of self that triggers many superstars to surrender their integrity.

“When everybody is saying how wonderful you are and everyone’s clambering to get near you, your self-esteem goes through the roof.  Many people tend to believe they should get whatever they want whenever they want it.”

Gottlieb believes there are just some people who see an opportunity and takes it, especially those living apart from their spouse.
