Do you have sports equipment from your kids piling up in your garage? You don't have the time to sell it, but you don't want it to go to waste, right? Why not donate it to a good cause?

This weekend, I'll be having a new/gently used sports equipment drive that will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix. Here are the details:

Where: OHSO Eatery & Nanobrewery, 4900 E Indian School Road in Phoenix.

When: Sunday, April 22nd, from 12pm-3pm. I'll be there personally collecting donations!

What: Bring your gently used (or new) sports equipment.

Your items will be distributed among the fourteen branches of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix, and utilized by many children. Ideally, the items you donate will be more for group sports - like hockey, soccer, football, baseball, t-ball, tennis, etc. Other items that are more child-specific (like rollerblades, etc) will be accepted, though, too!

OHSO Eatery & Nanobrewery has been incredibly helpful while planning this donation drive. They have been spreading the word through their Facebook page, and have even offered to accept donations before the day of the drive! ProjectCenter (make paper easy) designed and printed the flyers as a donation to the drive, and C&S Sporting Goods generously donated sports equipment already! Of course, Arizona Foothills Magazine has been so great in letting me use this spot to promote the donation drive, as well.

I really hope you're able to come out and support this great cause - my children, and yours too, are most likely fortunate enough to be able to play outside safely and have many different toys at their disposal. For some children, the only place they can play safely is at a Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix. This organization is vital for so many young people, and you have a chance to enrich their lives.

I hope to see you Sunday!!
