The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is holding its annual Phoenix SandFest fundraiser this week on March 25 and 26.

The event will raise money to benefit the Every Child Program, a cause created by the museum to provide free admission and rich-learning experiences to low-income or at-risk children and families.

The museum welcomes families across the Valley to come and enjoy a fun sand day filled with food trucks, music and visits from famous characters. Children can meet and get a picture with The Little Mermaid, Spidey Guy, The Frog Princess and others. Both days will be filled with exciting outdoor activities, including a sand-sculpting contest and a visit from the SAND GUYS of the Travel Channel show, “Sand Masters.” Guests will have the opportunity to experience the professionals at work, crafting their signature sand sculptures.

On March 26 at 7 PM, the popular adults-only playdate begins. This year’s “Life’s a Beach Party” will have food and drinks from local favorites Phat Cheeks Grill, Island Boyz Jerk Spot, and Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery. The event’s music caterer, DJ Miss Mixx, will get guests into the spirit for limbo competitions, cornhole, beach volleyball and giant beer pong. You can also make a splash on a mechanical shark ride or enjoy boardwalk games like the High Striker, glitter tattoos and more.

Tickets for daytime SandFest activities are free for individuals with purchase of a $16 museum admission. The event is free for museum members and children under one years old. The Life’s a Beach Party event costs $25 per person in advance and $30 per person at the door. All guests must be 21+ with proof of ID.
