“Summer is such a challenging season for so many,” said Shannon Clancy, SVdP associate CEO. “As some of us escape indoors into air conditioning, let’s remember those who can’t escape the heat or who can’t afford higher utility bills during Arizona summers. A bottle of water is the first line of relief we can offer our neighbors in need, but St. Vincent de Paul can only do so through the help, compassion and generosity of our community. We are grateful to ABC15 and Bashas’ for making this opportunity and water drive possible.”
“Access to fresh water is critical for survival. Not just during hot summer months but also during emergency response situations,” said Edward “Trey” Basha, president and CEO of Bashas’ Family of Stores. “St. Vincent de Paul provides invaluable support for first responders on the frontline of disasters, while also ensuring that families across Arizona have the lifesaving clean water they need.”
“No secret, Arizona summers are hot - the gift of water can truly be the difference between life and death,” said Anita Helt, vice president and general manager at ABC15. “It is our privilege to assist St. Vincent de Paul with their mission; to help our neighbors in need.”
