Luke Weaver, Diamondbacks’ newest starting pitcher, and eight other Major League Baseball players have teamed up with Food for the Hungry's Striking Out Poverty and will be campaigning to provide resources like medicine, medical supplies, construction materials and other necessities for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. Throughout the baseball season, Weaver, in addition to his initial donation, is going to pledge $46 per strikeout, and with the addition of partner matches, every $1 equals $22, resulting in each strikeout amounting to a whopping $1,000. Here, Weaver talks  about Food for the Hungry, Striking Out Poverty and his motivation to give back.
